Identity thieves petition congress for easier credit standards

Washington, D.C. - A group of identity thieves calling themselves ITA (Identity Thieves Alliance) marched on congress today, demanding looser lending standards. "With so many foreclosures and the subprime lending implosion, we are finding it more and more difficult to find identities worth stealing", said the groups spokesperson, D.D. Kruthers. "It's almost impossible lately to find an I.D. with a credit score above 600. Do you have any idea how limited our opportunities are with such mediocre identities?"
Kevin Andersen, recent victim of identity theft, could relate to the thieves plight. "My identity was stolen several months ago. I thought I was in deep you-know-what, until a week later when I received an email from the thief, indicating he was giving my I.D. back. Thank God I'm swamped in credit card debt, or I could have been in real trouble."
